Pre-Inspection Services

Regarding the inspection of motor vehicles as stipulated by the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act, Chapter 48:50:

• First Inspection: Private vehicles with a manufactured date (not registration date) of five years or older are required to be inspected at an authorized testing station. 
• Private Vehicle Ongoing: After the first inspection, all private (P) vehicles are required to be inspected every two years at an authorized testing station. 
• Commercial Vehicle Ongoing: Owners of Commercial Vehicles (T,H,R) are required to have their vehicles inspected every year.

Registered owners are required to pay a fee of $TTD300.00 for the inspection.

Federal provides a Pre-Inspection check to identify any defects on a predefined list.  Repair are done accordingly,  so that an Inspection Certificate can be obtained at an approved VEHICLE INSPECTION STATION.

• We will identify any defects that will prevent you from passing your authorized Vehicle Inspection.  
• This affords you the opportunity to fix your vehicle issues, so that you can book your official Vehicle Inspection with confidence.

Please note that if defects are identified and you choose to have all the relevant repairs done at Federal, we will credit you the cost of the Pre-Inspection Services.  In essence, you will get the Pre-Inspection Service for Free.  This credit will be applied at the time of the final Repair Bill.
